George Washington Carver School Photos
These photos are courtesy of the Richmond Hill Historical Society. They are images of the historic George Washington Carver School which was built by Henry Ford for the African American students of Bryan County, GA. The photos depict life in the late 1930’s. Unfortunately, the school was lost in a fire in the 1960’s, so photos like these are all that exits. A historic marker has been placed at the site of the school and is part of the Coastal Bryan Heritage Trail.
This photo is of Henry Ford and George Washington Carver.
